Ben is a high-energy particle physicist who left the ivory tower for the wilds of New York's theater district. He previously was a graduate student at Stanford, a postdoc at the University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory, was a staff writer for TED.com, and has published in The Atlantic Tech, Slate, and Method Quarterly. Shane is a conservation biologist turned science communicator who earned a PhD by studying frogs and turtles (seriously). His interest in conservation lead him to work in policy as a Sea Grant Knauss Fellow, dabble in outreach with the National Academies, and landed him in the Sharing Science program at the American Geophysical Union. Nisse Greenberg is an educator and storyteller who has won multiple Moth StorySlams and First Person Arts Slams. He teaches math to high-schoolers and storytelling to adults. He is the person behind the shows Drawn Out, Bad Feelings, and VHS Presents. He also identifies as vegetarian, but he'll eat meat if it looks good or if he feels like it's going to hurt someone's feelings if he doesn't. Farah Ahmad

Farah Z. Ahmad is a proud Bangladeshi-American Midwestern social butterfly and science enthusiast. Growing up in a family of professional scientists and born storytellers, in her early years Farah toyed between following in the family footsteps or being a writer, eventually finding an obscure middle ground in politics and public policy that she loves to this day. Farah is currently working at the federal level on sustainable community economic development and anti-poverty initiatives in rural and tribal communities. She holds a Master of Public Affairs degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Always a champion for the underdog, Farah highly respects and advocates for the misunderstood city pigeon.

Ariel Miller

Ariel is Story Collider’s first intern and the newest member of our team. She is a native New Yorker and resides in Manhattan. She is currently finishing her last class at Pace University to receive an English degree. In the fall, she will attend New York University to get an M.S. in Professional Writing at the School of Professional Studies, pursuing a degree in grant writing,.  She enjoys the creative and storytelling aspect of writing as well. At Pace, she is in the Golden Key Honors Society as well as the Alpha Chi Honors Society. In her spare time, Ariel likes to play guitar, write songs, read, exercise, and, learn new things, especially words and facts.
