Dan Freed is the Founder and CEO of PlaceboProof, a personalized nootropics company based in NYC. Dan, a high school dropout, spent his teenage years as a heroin addict in and out of jails and halfway houses, and lived on the streets. He cleaned up at 19 and started his culinary career as a Sandwich Artist at Subway, which eventually led him to become a world class chef, working in a Michelin three star restaurant in France. In spite of never going to college, he went on to earn an MBA from INSEAD, and a Master of Advanced Management from Yale where he studied cognitive science and public health, which led him to launch PlaceboProof in 2017.
