Joey Novick has been a political comedian, camp counselor, editorial director, attorney, busboy, radio show host, professional speaker, child actor and an elected official in New Jersey - but not necessarily in that order. He has appeared on The Liar Show, Yums the Word, Twice Told Tales, the New Jersey Storytelling Festival and was the producer of This Really Happened! storytelling show and podcast at the Hopewell Theatre. His solo show, "Comedian Elected to Town Council in New Jersey" was nominated for Best Comedy Performance at the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington. He is currently writing another solo show, "Fake America Great Again" inspired by his attending the 2016 RNC Convention in Cleveland (where he watched Trump's acceptance speech live at the convention hall), the Conservative Political Action Conference many times, and several Trump rallies.

Jezrie Marcano-Courtney’s stories take audiences on thoughtful adventures, focusing on the universality of the human experience. Through the triumphs and trials of being AfroLatinx, she highlights complexities of being part of the Black diaspora drawing from her coming of age. Jezrie writes and performs for Ubuntu (OO-BOON-TOO) Storytellers, where true stories inspire audiences to think about the interconnected experience of being human. She has performed for Stories From The Stage, (mostly) True Things, Saul Fussiner’s Songs and Stories, Story City at The Buttonwood Tree, The New Haven International Festival of Arts and Ideas, Storyteller’s New Haven, The MOuTH-Off with Chion (Ki-own) Wolf and, Tellabration! In New Haven and South Windsor, CT. She has also produced Tellabration! New Haven at The New Haven Pride Center, and Speak?Easy., a live themed storytelling event.

With Emily Hespeler’s experience creating a new path after a burn accident, their professional knowledge as a certified therapeutic recreation specialist (CTRS), speaking skills gained from years of empowering communities on various topics (recreation, nutrition, mental health, physical activity) and storytelling capabilities from sharing at NYC open mics, they hope to connect and inspire others to see their strengths. To power themself up, Emily eats a jar of peanut butter every week, takes daily walks, and stays open to random conversations with strangers.

Kate Schmidt is an early childhood educator and planetarium pilot at the American Museum of Natural History who specializes in teaching 8 year olds astrophysics. She has worked in the museum field for over a decade, is on the board of the New York City Museum Educator Roundtable, and has finally figured out that her job is just: Museum. Outside of work, she is the host and producer of Astronomy on Tap and Biology on Tap - monthly events that bring scientists and the public together at the bar. Most importantly, Kate is a deeply unserious person who firmly believes in the power of whimsy. Oh, and her favorite planet is Jupiter.
