Asher Novek is a community organizer, storytelling producer, and avid NY Liberty fan. He has worked in and with government and political organizations on utilizing technology for social good, and organizing local Brooklyn politics for over 15 years. He produces an ongoing monthly storytelling show So What Happened Was in Brooklyn, and produced the Speak Up, Rise Up storytelling & activist festival from 2017-2020. He currently works for a technology cooperative, where he helps national and local organizations best utilize tech for their advocacy programs and financial sustainability. You can also likely find him at a Liberty or Brooklyn cyclones game, and occasionally officiates weddings.
