Maryam Zaringhalam

Maryam is a molecular biologist who traded in her pipettes for the world of science policy and advocacy. She currently works as the Senior Director of Policy for the Center for Open Science where she leads policy efforts to increase openness, integrity, and trustworthiness of research. Before coming to COS, she served in the federal government, working both at the National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health from 2017 to 2025 and at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) from 2022 to 2024. She is currently serving as a National Academies New Voices Fellow and has been a Senior Producer for the Story Collider in DC since 2017. Learn more about her work at webmz.net.
