Barbara Lom is the Beverly F. Dolan Professor of Biology and director of FIRST: Fostering Inclusivity and Respect in Science Together at Davidson College. She is a developmental neurobiologist who gets to teach really terrific undergraduates about some of the coolest aspects of neuroscience, embryology, microscopy, and being a human in STEM. As a native upper Midwesterner, she is unable to write succinct and/or clever anecdotes about herself.
