Frankie is a Filipino-Canadian immigrant, storyteller, and community leader. As Ocean Wise’s Community and Volunteer Engagement Manager, she is launching a new “Ocean Action Grant” program that will provide youth across Canada with funding to lead an ocean service project in their community. She also supports youth environmental leadership programs at Ocean Wise by providing opportunities for over 800 Ocean Wise program alumni (ages 15 to 30) to continue taking action for our ocean. Frankie applies an intersectional approach to her work and uses the principles of dialogue to bring together diverse groups and voices to protect and restore our ocean. Her future career goal is to support marine conservation-focused community and capacity-building opportunities internationally.
